Australian NTRIP correction providers compared
Coverage on a map does not always mean that a farmer can obtain a login.
Australia has an extensive network of government and commercial GNSS reference stations. Access varies considerably: some government services provide free single-base data, some state networks only supply commercial users through resellers, and some commercial providers sell a finished correction service directly.
This comparison separates the underlying infrastructure from the service a customer can actually purchase or register to use. It was last checked in August 2026.

What the free national service does not provide
Positioning Australia is valuable public infrastructure, but it is not a managed agricultural correction network. Its direct correction streams use MSM7, which many older agricultural receivers cannot use. The user selects an individual station, verifies the baseline and receiver compatibility, configures the equipment and deals with station changes or outages. Geoscience Australia's own assessment describes the service as free public access without support or system integration.
Small regional providers
Australia also has many smaller correction providers that resell or repackage a limited regional selection of AUSCORS stations. These services may be useful inside their supported area, but a local snippet of national infrastructure should not be mistaken for an independently operated national network. Customers should check which physical stations are actually available, what happens outside that area, and whether the supplied MSM format is compatible with their receiver.
Commercial service comparison
The following results combine published service information with observed correction-stream behaviour. A successful data connection proves transport and message content; it does not by itself prove that an agricultural receiver will obtain and hold an RTK fix.

Choosing a correction service
Before paying for any service, ask which datum and epoch it supplies, whether its map represents usable RTK geometry or merely a connected station, which correction formats are available, and who will help when the receiver connects but does not fix.
VKLink checks the source distance, stream content, datum and receiver requirements rather than treating a coloured coverage map as proof. Check VKLink coverage or contact VKLink with your receiver and farm location.
