VKLink Reference Point

A surveyed farm GNSS reference point that improves correction accuracy by shortening the working baseline.

The reference point is designed in-house, assembled in Australia and integrated into the VKLink network. It observes the satellites above your farm and supplies raw data for server-side processing into the correction format requested by each machine.

VKLink farm GNSS reference point
Compact farm reference point with multi-frequency GNSS antenna.

Features

  • Fully surveyed to establish an accurate fixed antenna position.
  • Shortens the correction baseline for nearby machinery.
  • L1, L2 and L5 capable GNSS antenna.
  • Low current consumption and a small installed footprint.
  • Low data usage because observations are sent only when required.
  • Requires only constant power and a dependable internet connection.
  • Automatically works through the VKLink AUTO selection path once commissioned.

Surveyed and integrated

After installation, VKLink records a long RINEX observation and has the position processed before the unit is enabled for correction service.

Named for your area

Each reference point receives a useful farm or locality name. A reference point can be included when connecting to the network on an eligible five-year plan.

This reference point is not a standalone base station for a machine to connect to directly. It sends raw satellite observations to VKLink for processing and conversion into the format requested by the receiver.

The antenna must not be moved after the survey has started. Moving it invalidates the surveyed position.

Please contact VKLink for availability, compatibility or help choosing the right setup.
